Nusa Swara
Konser Musik Djaduk Ferianto & Kua Etnika
Tickets Rp 50.000,- | Students 25.000,- (limited seating)

The concert Nusa Swara is part of the process of interpreting and responding to situations, as Kua Etnika has done from its inception. The title ”Nusa Swara” itself is an abbreviation and combination of the word ”Nusantara” (archipelago) with ”swara” (voice). By referring to ”Nusantara” and working with the diversity of voices, Kua Etnika is trying to remind us that Indonesia is actually a long process (which is never ending) of various voices which then become an orchestration of our nation.
The numbers they have prepared, like Tresnaning Tiyang, Bromo, Reog, Sintren, show the diversity of ”voices of the Archipelago.” That each voice has the right and equal opportunity to compete or stand together, to appear and speak out within the context of a composition. Several other compositions, like Nirwana, Ronggeng to Latinos, Kennanemi, also show explorations of the musical ideas of Kua Etnika regarding an Archipelagic cultural perspective which they believe in: that the Archipelago is a region with a variety of cultures, in which all the voices have come from different corners of the world.
The musicians of Kua Etnika are Djaduk Ferianto, Trie Utami, Purwanto, Wibowo (I Nyoman Cau Arsana), Sukoco, Indra Gunawan, Sony Suprapto, Agus Wahyudi, Benny Fuad Herawan, Arie Senjayanto, and Dhany Eriawan.
